6 PAX enjoyed the beautiful and bright sunrise at The Grove Saturday. The sun felt so good, it helped the cold not feel so freezing. We warmed up with stretches and butt kicks until everyone was situated and ready. We had a couple stragglers, but were happy to wait for them.
First up was a lap, with 1 star jump at every mailbox. Next, we ran another lap and did 2 jumping jacks at every mailbox. And for 3, we did another lap, with 3 squats at every mailbox.
We came back to the mats, nice and warm, and started our accumulator. 1 Push Up, 2 Donkey Kicks, and 3 LBCs. We added 1, 2, 3 reps to each round after round. 2/4/6, 3/6/9, 4/8/12, 5/10/15…all the way up to 10/20/30.
We sailed through the accumulator like it was easy. So, we hit the track for another lap. We did 1 squat at the first mailbox, 2 broad jumps at the next, and 3 toe taps at the third. Then we repeated all the way around the circle.
When we got back, we did a Dora. 100 Side Lunges, 200 Deadlifts, and 300 Bicycles. I made the bicycles set because everyone was FLYING through this workout. The girls were not thrilled, but finished it fast as ever. When 1 PAX was doing reps, the other ran to the stop sign and back.
We needed to really seal the deal and work those abs. So, we did 10 Bourbons, 20 Russian Twists, and 30 Indian style LBCs.
We still had time left, so we did an arm round. 10 Side Extensions, 20 Bicep Curls, 30 Tricep Kickbacks. It was hard after all the push ups. So, we did it again a second time. It was a struggle, but we all finished it. I joked that we still had 5 minutes left to work and I received some death threats (kidding, just looks). We took the five minutes to really stretch, which felt great.
We circled up, prayed, and did name-O-Rama. Then we sampled Shrinky Dink’s latest baked goods. It was a great way to start the day!
