12/31/2019 - den - 2020 New Year’s Rockin’Eve Special

On a very cold New Year’s Eve morning 12 PAX got together including me, Rise Up, and braved the 2020 New Year’s Rockin’Eve Special. We warmed up with Jumping Jacks, Toy Soldiers, Windmills, and Arm Circles backwards and forwards all in cadence. We had 3 FNGS today to name, so I recited our disclaimer and explained:

THE THANG:

10 exercises, 20 reps, 2 rounds. In between each round PAX ran a lap around the second light post in the parking lot and then a round of “Happy Jacks” (5 Jumping Jacks in cadence followed by 2 Jump Squats, while yelling “Happy” at the top of the Jump Squats. Good stuff 👍😁

Exercises are as follows:

Round 1

Rise Up Pulse Lunges

In and Outs

Touchdown Jump Squats

Alternating Shoulder Taps (10 sets)

Bird Dog Push Ups (10 sets)

Lap and Happy Jacks

Round 2

Toy Soldiers

Dead Lifts

Windmills

Inchworms

Pretzel Crunches

Lap and Happy Jacks

Round 3

Each pax chose 2 exercises from rounds 1 and 2 and completed only the lap.

Next we divided into two groups for leg wreckers. One group completed Sumo Squats, while the other group (with weights) completed Lt. Dan 1:4 ratio of Squats and Lunges for a total of 10 Squats and 40 Lunges. In the middle of the parking lot I set up cones so that pax could get a break from Lt. Dan to complete 10 Bicep Curls on the way down and on the way back. Good times 👍

Next we circled up for COT prayed over our FiA sisters, Wonder Woman is recovering from surgery and I dedicated my workout to her. If not for Wonder Woman I would not have found FiA. And for FiA, and the family I have found, I’m literally exploding with gratitude. We named our FNGS, wished everyone a Happy New Year, and went on with our day.
