BackBlast:

It was hot but we had a wonderful shade to work out in.  The breeze didn’t come until the end & it was very much welcomed.  The day before the weather app said there was a 50% chance of thunderstorms so I put together a workout we could do undercover of the school and then it didn’t rain.  Go figure.  So we were able to spread out under the shade of the hill and had fun.

Warm up – some quick stretches and then a game of “this or that” where you had to side shuffle a certain direction according to your answer.  We choose lemonade vs iced tea, ocean waves vs rain sounds, books vs movies, pizza vs sushi, and so on.  I love these games as it helps me get to know everyone a little better.

The Thang:

We had 3 columns of 6 exercises that we did for 50 seconds on & 10 seconds rest.  We did the first column twice before moving to the second (twice) and then to the third.  We only had time to do the 3rd column once before taking a lap and finishing.  We had very little rest between each of these sets so we were constantly moving.  The exercises are listed in the picture below.

We came together for COT and nameorama.  We named Drama Queen as she is an elementary counselor (lots of drama) and she loves to perform and act.
