Somehow, over the course of my 15 months at FiA Cherokee in general and the Valley and Arena specifically, I have never participated in a beatdown that utilized the stairs at the Arena. I know right – craziness! So, we left our mats at the bottom and our weights near the top, and that means we did a lot of travelling in between!
All of the exercises at the bottom worked our abs or butts, and all the workouts at the top worked our arms (or in one case, butts….see a theme here?)…..every exercise was done for a count of 25 (or 50 total in the case of any “each” exercises). Work your abs, run up the stairs, work your arms, run down the stairs, rinse and repeat for a total of 12 sets of abs/arms. PAX who finished first could pick any exercise to do until everyone was finished – some of us ran/walked laps, others did calf raises, etc.
Afterwards we prayed for our nation (just, you know, all of it), and a local family who lost their home in the tropical storm last week…..then we named our newest FNG! Christina (or Kristina…I didn’t ask – oops!) loves to travel, especially to the beach in Florida, so she is hereby FiA-tized as……SEASHELL 🙂
