It was a rainy, rainy Saturday.  But, with the promise of a covered garage, 4 other FiAs joined me for a Baker’s Dozen.

We warmed up with arm circles, gate swings, butt kicks, high knees, and jump ropes.  Then we got to work.

Baker’s Dozen – is actually 13!  And since today was the 13th, it only seemed fitting to have 13 exercises.  We used a Tabata timer.  For Round 1, we did each exercise for 30 seconds each.  But, we weren’t quite cooked enough.  For round 2, we did each exercise for 60 seconds.  We still weren’t cooked all the way through.  So for our final round, we did each exercise for 90 seconds each.

Our exercises were:

Bear Squats

Hip Dips

Squats

Side Extensions

Around the Worlds

In and Outs

Flutter Kicks

Push Ups

Front Extensions

Side Lunges

Calf Raises

Tricep Kickbacks

Jumping Jacks

We grabbed some water and did a minute of jump ropes or running in place between rounds to keep our heart rates up.  We only had 5 seconds between each exercise, so no standing around!

The first round was a piece of cake!  The third round, at 90 seconds each…well, that round was hard.

We ended just in time to stretch and close with prayer.  Happy early Valentine’s Day ladies!!
