22 PAX came out for one of our favorite events – the FiA Cherokee Christmas Beatdown and white elephant gift exchange. The weather threatened us with rain, but thankfully it held off.
We warmed up with some big stretches, reaching to the sky then down to touch our toes. We added Michael Phelps, Gate Swings, and Ankle Hops. Then we played a quick game of would you rather. Butt Kicks for option 1 and Jumping Jacks for option 2.

Would you rather watch Home Alone or The Grinch?
Would you rather watch Love Actually or Christmas Vacation?

Once we were warm and loose, we broke into two teams and started our Christmas movie marathon. Each team had a stack of Christmas cards, with 2 of each movie character. The cards were shuffled. PAX took turns drawing cards and completed the exercises together. The exercises definitely made use of the lexicon. We almost had time to go through the entire stack!
Each card had a picture of a Christmas movie character and a quote, followed by exercises to do. The exercises were as follows:
Clark Griswold: Burn some dust and eat my rubber – sprint to the cones and back. Sledding time – Pilates 100. Carve the turkey – 30 Russian Twists. Kidnap your boss – 10 Prisoner squats
Cousin Eddie – 30 Hillbillies and 10 Dying cockroaches
Buddy the Elf – 4 rounds of Happy Jacks
Ralphie – Bat Wings – 25 Reps if forward arm circles, backward arm circles, seal claps, and overhead claps – no putting your arms down.
Grinch – You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch – 10 burpees
Max – 20 Fire Hydrants each leg
Andrew Lincoln from Love Actually – my favorite – 15 In and Outs, 20 Butterfly Crunches, 25 Bicycles, 30 LBCs
Hugh Grant – Grapevine to cones and back, then 30 Hip Dips
Kevin – Home Alone – Scream and Run for your life around the circle
Tim Allen Santa Clause – Pass our present- Ring of Fire. Hold chair and pass around 5 jump squats.

We really stayed moving the ENTIRE time and even shed some layers. We circled up, said a quick prayer, did our Name-o-Rama, then started coffeteria.
We drew numbers and started the White Elephant game. The first present selected (by Whole Coconut) was the cutest buffalo plaid weekender bag! We had some awesome gifts that got stolen multiple times – the Kissing box, the Q kit, the nice new yoga mat, the fox blanket, the lasagna lugger, some gift cards. The ladies put together some nice gifts! And we had plenty of laughs during the exchange.
Thank you ladies for hanging out with me in the cold and giving up a little more of your Saturday to spend time with us. We are so thankful for each of you. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
