6 beautiful ladies joined me before the sun came up on this (yet again) brisk Monday morning. Even with a preblast hinting at some running, they pulled in the lot one by one with their laces tied tight.
We got started with some high knees, butt kicks, squat stretches, lunge stretches, and some arm circles to get us ready to rock.
Today’s theme was Crazy 8s. I have run this Q once before at the Lair, but this was the first time at the Union. The concept is pretty simple…run an 8 formation, do said exercises on list, run again, next exercise, etc….
We started with a run (I think it is about 0.5 – 0.7 miles per lap), then into the first set;
8 Burpees, 16 squat jacks
16 Merkins, 24 Mtn Climbers (sets)
8 Burpees, 16 Diamond jumps
16 Carolina dry docks, 24 plank to alternating pike
8 Burpees, 16 alt lunge jump (8 each side b4 switching)
16 diving push ups (aka dive bombers), 24 shoulder taps
The ladies did awesome, and got in anywhere from 3 to 4.5+ miles! Woop woop!
We circled up and prayed for peace, strength, health, discernment and unspoken prayers. Then name-o-rama. Some parted ways, while a few stayed for an extra 15 min of work.
