06/15/2021 - rock - Deck of Death

BackBlast:

Holy moly was it hot. I’m not one of the ladies who glistens, I just sweat, so by the time the beatdown was over I was dripping.  I was so excited to see Stitches and Queen Peach as they have been out many months due to an injury.  I was also excited to see Pinterest in her quarterly showing at The Rock.  We played a game of Never Have I Ever to warm up.  If you had done the item (worked in fast food, been stuck in an elevator, lied in an interview, etc) then you did high knees.  If you hadn’t done it then you did butt kicks.  We ran through 7 or 8 of them and then got started with the deck of death.

For the first round the suits were as follows:

Heart – jump squats

Spade – box cutters (just for Cookie Monster and she wasn’t even there)

Diamond – Front Raises

Club – Lunge sets

I pulled a card and we did the corresponding exercise with the number on the card.  Jacks were 11, Queens 12, Kings 13, Aces 15, and a joker was 10 of each exercise with a lap.

We did a few rounds with a couple of laps and then came back for Jedi Jacks.  We did 25 of each of the following with some mumble chatter (ok, it was me doing the mumble chatter):

Jumping Jacks

Seal Jacks

Smurf Jacks

Soldier Jacks

Plank Jacks

Star Jacks (aka star jumps).

We then started the next round of cards with the suits as follows:

Heart – froggers

Spade – lbc’s

Diamond – scarecrows

Club – squats

After a few rounds and a couple of laps we finished with the London Bridge song challenge.
