16 PAX at the Den today, including 3 FNGs! You ladies are really spreading the word and getting new friends to come join us! It is so awesome! We started in a different spot than usual today, which was weird, but good. We warmed up with Michael Phelps, Arm Circles, TTTs, Windmills, and Toy Soldiers in cadence. Then I explained The Thang.
Dora Route 66. PAX partner up. 1 starts on reps. The other runs a Route 66. When the runner returns, they swap.
Our reps were the following, which everyone did on their own count, and cycled through over and over again.
31 Push Ups
31 Bicep Curls
31 Sec Plank
The Route 66s we’re slightly different. We ran the straight road by the stadium, which gave us 7 light poles. On our first Route 66, we did jump squats. So we run to the first light pole, do 1 jump squat. Run to the 2nd light pole, do 2 jump squats. Run to the 3rd light pole, do 3 jump squats…all the way to 7.
Our second Route 66, we did Carolina Dry Docks. Then Star Jumps, then Monkey Humpers.
So, we all did 4 Route 66s and cycled through the reps 3-4 times. Everyone killed it! Guac was her usual speedy self. The teen crew did amazing! Our FNG Pigeon asked for cardio, and boy did she get it. But, she did it and survived, and will hopefully come back for more.
We had a few minutes left, so we worked those arms so more with a Batwings. We kept those arms up through arm circled forward and back, seal claps, overhead claps, scarecrows, overhead press, and I threw in Moroccan Nightclubs just for good measure. Regulator let me know she was hurting, which I do appreciate!
We circled up to name our FNGs – welcome Pigeon, Sprint, and Relay! And welcome back Southern A! We prayed, we talked, we checked off Bingo Boxes, and we started our day off right! I hope everyone enjoyed this new Dora!
