It was the best morning ever! The Georgia Bulldogs won a National Championship the night before and most of the Pax didn’t get enough sleep, as the celebration continued well into the wee small hours of the morning. But hey! Veni! Vidi! Vici! YAAAAAS! We all did. We were an even number of 12 and it worked out perfectly! One of my favorite things about FiA is when a pax we haven’t seen in a while returns. Snickers, welcome back! It was awesome to see you and your smiling face again! So, we did some warm ups while I explained that Thang.
I love birthdays of people, places and things. This was a very special day. FiA Nation celebrated 9 years of #bettertogether awesomeness, and it was also a great workout that all the Pax in all represented regions of the United States participated. So, here it is….The THANG
The pax split into 2 groups. Group one did static “Hold” positions while Group 2 did “Huddle” exercises.
Hold: Headstand (modified to Downward Dog with elbows), Wall Sit, Plank, Boat, Canoe, Left Side Plank, Right Side Plank, Reverse Plank and Downward Dog
Huddle: 22 each of Carolina Dry Docks, Sumo Squats, Plank Jacks, Burpees, Glute Bridge, Froggers, Tricep Dips, Super Mans, Zebras.
The second part of the workout was a Ring of Fire. Pax passed around 5 each of Star Jumps while completing Raggedy Ann’s. We went around the ring until we completed 365 Star Jumps. Whew! Thank you for coming up with such a fun and amazing workout. Thank y’all for coming out on this cold morning. For FiA Nation, I am forever grateful. For FiA Cherokee, I have no words. Thank you! We took our picture, we named our FNG, Belles! Welcome to FiA! We prayed over each other, and shared many many laughs.
