I like to be creative with my Qs but after a long weekend of volleyball games with my 2.0, I didn’t have much left to come up with something. So I looked through the lexicon and decided to just do a collection of things. Our warm up started with some arm circles, swimmers, and gorilla swings. We then did some high knees and butt kicks and stretched our legs a bit. The warm up continued with Catch Me if you Can down to the end of the parking lot and back.
The Thang – I started the main part of the beatdown with 3 rounds of 3-6-9. This routine has Pax doing 3 different exercises for 6 minutes and 9 reps of each exercise. My three rounds were:
Round 1 – Arms – Around the worlds, hammer curls, OH Press
When the timer buzzed we ran what is called a short lap at the Union. As we jogged, Choo Choo explained the three types of laps for this AO. The other 3 seemed relieved when I said let’s do the short lap.
Round 2 – Abs – Scissor kicks sets, Wilsons, cross-leg crunches sets
We took another lap and came back to do the final round
Round 3 – Legs – crockpot squats, hillbillies sets, Pax choice of lunges sets
We took another lap and when we got back, I checked the time and we chose to skip the Super 21s (I’ll bring them back don’t worry!) and go to the Bat Wings and a Song Challenge to finish out the time. The Song Challenge was “Bang” which has Pax doing hillbillies during the verses and whenever he says the word Bang you do jumping jacks. My legs were done when we finished, especially since I got 2 miles in before the beatdown. We did COT and NOR and left to begin a new week! It had been a while since I’d been to the Union so thanks for having me this morning ladies!
