9 PAX met on this COLLLLLLLLLDDDDDD Friday morning. (Ok, it wasn’t THAT cold compared to some other workouts, but it’s been so warm and we’ve all gotten a little spoiled being able to wear our tank tops to workouts again…so it felt really cold! And I’m sticking to that!) BUT…within a very short period of time we were all stripping layers off like menopause had hit full force. BECAUSE WE DID NOT QUIT MOVING! Seriously, these ladies BROUGHT IT ON like there were Toros in the atmosphere (how’s that for a little pop culture reference?).
So, what did we do to get so overheated and make all of us question whether our arms will every work again? We got by with a little help from our friends…
We each paired up with a partner. Partner 1 was to run a loop while Partner 2 started their reps of the below exercises. Partner 1 returned and started their reps (This wasn’t a Dora…we were all responsible for full reps) while Partner 2 ran their loop. Wash Rinse Repeat.
- 60 Bicep Curls (sets)
- 80 Overhead Press
- 100 Shoulder Taps (sets)
- 60 Curb Push Ups
- 80 Plank Jacks
- 100 Bicycle Crunches (sets)
- 60 Crockpot Squats
- 80 Mountain Climbers (sets)
- 100 Crab Kicks (sets)
- 60 Russian Twists (sets)
- 80 Overhead Tricep Extensions
- 100 In and Outs
We all knew from the beginning that the likelihood of making it through ALL of these was minimal, but we ALL made it FAR. With 5 minutes to go each person chose their favorite of the remaining exercises and focused on that. (I kind of want to do this one again and see how much further we can make it. Anyone else? No? Just me? Never mind…nothing to see here…carry on…)
Followed by COT and Name-O-Rama…and some specific prayers for Red Velvet’s MIL who has just faced a devastating fire and the many of us who pray daily for strength for our children and ourselves as we help our children navigate this crazy thing called life.
And, in usual FiA fashion…my favorite part of this extraordinary group of women that I get to call friends…we had amazing conversations of support and laughs through the entire ordeal. Fitness, Faith and Fellowship. We have it all. I love you guys!
