It was a cold morning and a busy weekend, so Birdie was the only one able to join me in the Grove Saturday. We warmed up with stretches, fast feet, butt kicks, and a light jog.
Next up was Top Gun. We rotated through 5 exercises, 10 reps each, for 10 minutes. But, every minute on the minute, you enter the danger zone! So, when the timer beeps, you drop and do 3 burpees. Then you pick back up your exercises. We like to do arm burn-outs with Top Gun. Our exercises were Gun Show Left, Gun Show Right, Bicep Curl, Upright Rows, then Tricep Kickbacks.
Next up was See You When I See You! Birdie and I are almost identical paces, so she was the perfect partner. We start out running opposite directions around the circle. When we meet on the other side, we did 10 reps of 4 exercises. Then we run opposite directions until we meet again. Then we do 9 reps of each exercise. We continue all the way to 1 rep. Our exercises were Squats, Lunge Pulses, Raggedy Ann’s, and Scarecrows.
We had about 10 minutes to spare, so we did 5 minutes of abs, then stretched. It was great catching up with my neighbor, Birdie! We missed our crew though too. Hope to see everyone next weekend!
