This Backblast is WAAAAY late, but better late than never, right? 2 PAX joined me for the descent of Mt. Everest. We were a small but mighty crew that was really struggling with counting and thinking and remembering who just did in the in-cadence counting. (Me – it was me whose brain wasn’t working.) We warmed up with an Indian Run around the Grove. Then got to work.
The way Mt. Everest works is you have 2 exercises with travel in between. You can accumulate rounds, or in our case, you can descend. So, we started with 10 reps in cadence, traveled, then 10 reps of exercise number 2 in cadence, then traveled back. Then we did it again with 9 reps, then 8, 7…all the way down to 1. Our travel to exercise number 2 was always a jog, but the travel back varied (stolen from Valor at The Union earlier this week). We did 3 rounds:
1. IC Carolina Dry Docks, IC Bicep Curls
2. IC Russian Twists, IC Weighted Chicken Wings
3. IC Flutter Kicks, IC Overhead Press
Our travel back changed from curtsy walks, side lunge walks, front lunge walks, grapevines, side shuffles, to backwards jogs. See the pic for details.
It was fun chatting with Shrinky Dink and Choo Choo – they always make me laugh and start my day off right. So sorry for the delay of Backblast writing. This week has been a doozy!
