I love a good theme and January 20th offers two good ones. I picked Cheese Day. With the threat of rain in the forecast and knowing Foxtrot, I decided to make this a standing workout, no mats needed. We got to meet in the usual spot rather than the pavilion because the rain held off. We warmed up as we waited for the lights to come on – arm circles, jog in place, other stretches Pax needed. We then warmed up with my Elvis song challenge (Jailhouse Rock) that I debuted at the Grove a couple weeks ago.
The Thang – I planned an 8 minute timer per round and we spelled various types of cheeses with an exercise for each letter. We did 20 reps of the exercises and where it made sense we did sets.
F – figure 4 squats (10 per leg)
E – elbow press
T – thigh master sets
A – around the worlds
Because it wasn’t raining we were able to take a nice dry lap.
C – Chair sit 20 seconds
H – hillbillies sets
E – extensions (tricep)
D – standing donkey kicks sets
D – door knobs
A – Ab crunches (a standing LBC)
R – Raggedy Anns sets
We ran another lap.
B – bear squats (some Pax without gloves did regular squats)
R – Rows
I – Imperial walkers sets
E – Elbow press
We ran another lap and had just enough time to fit in a round of Sally. We will have to save MUENSTER for another day I guess. We took some fun pics, did COT and NOR. I brought cheese for everyone as a fun snack for the ride home! Thanks for celebrating National Cheese Day with me ladies!
