Back in May we had a crazy idea. I got an email about the Savannah Rock’n’Roll Marathon and Half and mentioned it to some folks. Well… fast forward 230+ miles, hours of running, gallons (yeah, pretty sure it’s gallons) of sweat and there are 5 of us ready to hit the starting line next week for a half marathon in Savannah and Alpharetta.
Today’s run out at the Den was a final double digit long run for some, a long run to burn some stress for others, and a chance to build endurance for the rest. Regardless of the motivation we all accomplished an incredible task of getting better together.
It was energizing to see all these women come out today. Everyone did their own pace, their own run, but we did it together. Together. We all run our races of life every day, and yet we have this village to always encourage, support and push us to be our best.
Great work piling on the miles today, ladies!(some of these are estimates- let me know if I missed your mileage)
Piles of miles:
Wonder Woman- 11+
Partly Cloudy – 11+
Anchor – 10+
Whole Coconut- 10.5+
Smooth Operator – 6+
Yellow Tulip -5+
Honey Crisp – 4+
Today’s runs prove you can do anything you put your mind to. It just takes a little grit and determination.
