Whoa that was a lot of names to type! 42 PAX attended the FiA Olympics Opening Ceremony at Foxtrot for FiA Cherokee Saturday! It was a wonderful crowd of so many beautiful faces! We circled up in the big field to announce the new FiA Olympic Events, how to score points, to listen to the Olympic music, and shout “Let the Games Begin!”. We prayed a quick prayer did our BIG COT and counted off to form 5 teams that would compete in the opening games.

First event up was the Lexirades! Each team competed against the others in a race to name that FiA exercise. It ended with a tie. Teams then each spread out to tackle the various events we had set up.
Obstacle course (which involved star jumps, duck walk, running circles around the outhouse, lunge walks, push ups, squat jumps, and sprinting to the finish line.

and Javelin Throw
After each team completed each event, we joined back together for coffeteria and fellowship. And a big group picture, of course. It was a wonderful kickoff to a very fun week! I hope you ladies have a great time competing in the events! Best of luck!
