It was an awesome day at the Thicket. I always suspected that Christopher Columbus was more of a pirate than an explorer, so there you have it. Pieces of “Eight” and it was awesome. We did some warm up exercises, Tree Trunks, Jumping Jacks, Toy Soldiers, Windmills, and Arm Circles Backward and Forward (All IC) and got to work on:

THE THANG:

  1. Crazy 8’s: 8 exercises, 8 reps for 8 minutes (Merkins, Big Girl Sit Ups, Squats, Peter Parkers, Thrusters, Alternate Jump Lunges, Bicep Curls, Alternate Standing Donkey Kicks) – RUN A LAP
  2. 2 x 4 is 1/2 of 16 4 Corners (8 Sumo Squats at corner 1, PAX choice of Mosey to Corner 2 where 8 Inchworms were completed, PAX choice of Mosey to Corner 3 where 8 Alternating Shoulder Taps were completed, PAX choice of Mosey to Corner 4 where Squats with Lateral Leg Lifts were completed) – RUN A LAP
  3. Ring of Fire: Abs Edition – Round 1 PAX completed Pretzel Crunches while 8 Bourbons were passed around. Round 2 PAX completed Penguins while 8 Boat/Canoes were passed around. Round 3 PAX completed Bicycle Crunches while 8 Big Girl Sit Ups were passed around. – RUN A LAP –
  4. Cool down stretches, COT and Announcements – New option for Tuesday Morning at The Hideout (Dean Rusk Middle School) at 5:30 am starting October 22! Yay! Convergence Beat Down at Foxtrot on Saturday, October 19 at 8:00 am
