The Hideout was dark and quiet. Only one other car was there when I arrived, and it was not a sister’s car. I sat for a few minutes in my own car, thinking what would I do if it were just me. I had decided that I would complete The Murph and save the workout for another day. Then, Raptor pulls in!
I gave her the option – the Murph or the pyramid. She chose the pyramid. We warmed up with arm circles, toy soldiers and some stretching overall. The pyramid was five stories, starting at 10 reps and ending with 50. At the end of each story, we ran or walked a lap. We stayed together and did a lot of talking, and catching up (okay, I dominated the conversation and Raptor was polite enough to listen).
10 – inchworms with push ups, squat with upright row, shoulder flyes, dragon lunges, hydrants – lap
20 – chest press, renegade rows, tricep dips, LBC – lap
30 – brazilian lunges, bicep curls, mountain climbers – lap
40 – plank jacks, flutter squats – lap
50 – ab roll ups – lap
Made it to the top and then worked our way back down the pyramid. We almost completed the full five stories before time ended. We had a COT, prayer, and took a picture. Thanks for listening to my ramblings Raptor! Next time I will bring the tape and close my mouth!
