The radar was wrong. When I woke up this morning radar showed the showers would be gone by 7:30. Well at 8:00 they were still hanging around. I had wanted to do my football themed workout today but knew the rain would deter some so I decided to do a tabata instead. We started warming up while a few came rushing in. And then the rain started dwindling off so my beatdown worked.
For my tabata we did 50 seconds on with 10 seconds rest. We spelled out RAIN RAIN GO AWAY and it worked. We did it 3 times through with a run in between each round. We also did 30 seconds of different cardio between each word. Below are our exercises:
R – rotator raise
A – airplanes
I – imperial walkers
N – narrow squats
30 sec high knees
R – reverse flys
A – alternating lunges
I – inchworms (or at least I had this but told everyone not to bring their mats so we did standing side bends with other arm in the air)
N – narrow squats with kick back
30 sec butt kicks
G – goal post press
O – overhead press
30 twisty jumps
A – alternating side step in squat position
W – woodchops
A – around the worlds
Y – Y raises
After the second round we did some ab work also with the tabata timer.

We made it through almost 3 full rounds with one round of abs. Thank you to all the hard core ladies who showed up in the rain. We had fun while getting it done (ha, I rhymed).
COT and NOR where we named Happy Hiker as she loves to hike with her husband. We had coffeteria and were on our way. I then met Fancy Boots to walk a 5K so I think I’ve gotten my steps in for the day.
