11 PAX braved the misty morning to get their Beatdown done, to keep their streak alive, to grab that missing ornament, or to claim their Bingo prize. I don’t care why they joined. I’m just happy they did!
We warmed up with some Michael Phelps, hip rotations, jump ropes, butt kicks, and Jumping Jacks in cadence.
Then we got started on The Thang: Sill Sprints
I passes out a playing card to everyone. The number was the number of reps to complete. The suit indicated the exercises to complete. Then the remainder of the deck was all the way at the other end of the covered sidewalk. PAX completed their reps/exercises, then ran to the deck to pull their next card.
Face cards = 12 Reps
Aces = 15 Reps
Diamonds = Side Extensions (arms), Side lunges (each side), and penguins
Hearts = Bicep Curls, Squats, and LBCs
Clubs = Rows, Sumo Squats, and Leg Lifts
Spades = Overhead Press, Curtsy Lunges, and Bicycles
I liked that with each card, we had 3 exercises to do. It was still a decent amount of running, especially with lower reps. I mixed 3 decks of cards, so there were lots of each suit and rep count. There were some cards with a piece of blue tape on them. From a previous workout. When someone pulled one of those, they had to add 2 burpees.
We stopped at 6:08ish and did one round of Baby Shark and one round of Sally -the squat version since our mats were wet and slippery.
We finished right at 6:15. We closed with a prayer, our Name-O-Rama and the redeeming of Bingo box prizes!
Thanks for joining me at The Den this morning!
