We gathered together on this warm sunny morning to sweat (and we did a lot of it). I was so excited that 2 of mine & Chocolate Chip’s college friends came out to join us this morning. We all said our hellos, how are yous, and got to work.
Warmup: light stretches, through the tunnel, windmills
We did a modified Route 66 around the big circle by the playground. There are 11 trees planted around the loop (if you don’t count the dead one). We all started at a tree, did one squat, ran to the next tree & did 2 squats, and so on until we had run the full lap all the way through 11 trees for a total of 66 reps. We then did the same with around the worlds and set of hillbillies. Each time we changed the direction of our run around the circle.
Next was the sleepwalkers (who is kin to that horrible Lt Dan). You start with 1 squat, 2 toe touches, and 3 walking lunges. Then you go up to 2 squats, 4 toe touches, 6 walking lunches. You always increase the squats by 1, toe touches by 2 and lunges by 3. We did this for so many minutes and I think most of us got around to 7 squats, 14 toe touches, and 21 lunges.
We went back to Route 66 for one more round of overhead press to even out our laps. We then circled up for COT and name o rama. We named our 2 FNG’s Power because her husband works for Georgia Power and she enjoys power lifting and Mamma Mia as she is a huge ABBA fan.
