Some people might say, why have and adhoc extra beatdown for only 3 PAX….but I say, that’s 3 more PAX who got to enjoy fitness and fellowship and participate in a modified Memorial Day Murph.
THE THANG: I planned a Dora, with the counts for the Murph doubled – 200 Bent Rows (subbed for the pull ups), 400 push-ups and 600 squats. One PAX does reps while the other runs. So since there were three of us, two PAX did the Dora this way while I held an individual count, alternating reps with running.
Did push-up #357 look as good as push-up #16? No. Was the squat form as good at #561 as it was at #11? Also no. But we got it done!
Afterwards we chatted for a bit, did our Name-O-Rama, and said a prayer of thanks for the sacrifices that have given us freedom and a prayer of safety for our families as we head into the summer. It was a perfect way to start the morning!
