It was tough today. We’re just a couple weeks away from our 15K at The Cupcake Race. Obviously we all needed a training run, or we would have slept in on this first day of Daylight Savings! 😂 Losing an hour of sleep was no joke!
It was a chilly, dry morning out at The Den, and with the new time we were back to starting in the dark. Despite fatigue, 5 PAX got in 4-8.5 miles today. Several PAX did their longer runs earlier in the weekend but got in more baseline miles in shake-out runs today. We had an extra treat as we got to meet another of Rescue’s 4-legged friends, Yankee. He was a puffy sweetheart who even posed for our picture!
Thankfully we were able to get out and get it done! With more rain in the forecast it was a treat to have a dry, clear run. Yep, we were tired. Yep, we were sore. Yep, we ran with our hearts and got stronger and better together. We were treated to not only a beautiful moon-set but a stunning sunrise! (Pic below by Partly Cloudy).
Thanks to Chinchilla for powering through and sticking with me at the end to get 8+. By March 21 we will all be race ready!
Cheers to more miles!!
