We are 3 weeks into school and everyone has some sort of sniffle or exhaustion or kid sport going on. So, it was no surprise that our regular Grove crew was MIA Saturday morning. Thankfully Birdie came out and held me accountable. Together we did a Super 21 – and she loved it!
We stretched and walked a lap to warm up. It was just the two of us, so chatting was necessary!
The Thang: Super 21s!
We started on our mats and completed 1 of each exercise. Then we ran to the cones and completed 20 of each exercise. Just like 11s, but the reps add up to 21. I wanted this to take a while, so we had 4 exercises to do at each end of the cones, rather than the usual 1. We increased one side and decreased the other, always adding up to 21. Here are our exercises:
Push Ups, Bourbons, Around the Worlds, Reverse Grip Rows
Superman Squats, Calf Raises, Curtsy Lunges, Figure 4 Squats.
We didn’t quite finish, so maybe 4 exercises at each side was ambitious. But, it was also just the two of us so we weren’t racing. We stopped with 5 minutes to spare to run a lap and do some abs. We prayed and snapped a picture. Then started on our Saturday.
