Saturday morning’s weather at #foxtrot was gorgeous considering it was the first day of summer and that usually means 85+ degrees and about the same humidity. We warmed up with some arm circles, Toy Soldiers IC and then Windmills IC.
We then played a few rounds of Never Have I Ever (there were 2.0s present so it was a clean version) and used exercises like jumping jacks, squat jumps, pushups, plank jacks, high knees, and butt kicks for the answer options. We finished that off with 5 burpees and moved on to the Tabata Timer.
I hate counting reps so I decided using the timer would be good for this one. There were three rounds: Round 1 was arms, Round 2 was abs, and Round 3 was legs. When we finished each round we divided in half and ran either around the restrooms and back or to the trash can close to the monument and back. The exercises lasted for 50 seconds each with 10 seconds between to switch to the next one.
Round 1 – Arms
Upright rows, Tricep kickbacks, overhead press, bicep curls, moroccan night clubs
Round 2 – Abs
LBCs, bourbons, reverse crunches, bicycles, leg lifts
Round 3 – legs
donkey kicks, fire hydrants, calf raises, imperial walkers, standing leg lifts ballet style (for this one you lift leg front, then side, then back without putting it down and then switch to other leg or keep on same leg until half way through the time for that exercise and then switch to other leg)
We repeated the 3 rounds and then had time to roll my dice twice. The first one had us doing pushups for 90 seconds (OMG!!!) and the second had us do 30 reps of jumping jacks.
We finished with some quick stretches, gathered prayer requests, and did name-o-rama. Those who could stay for coffeteria enjoyed some visiting time. Thanks for coming out ladies!!!
