It felt great to be back out with the Pack for a long-run Sunday. What didn’t feel great was the 15-20mph+ gusts and headwinds. It was a deceptively chilly 43F, but despite the conditions we knew others were counting on us, so we dressed warmly and headed out for a 9 mile taper run before Thanksgiving half marathons for 3 of us! For Yellow Tulip this was her longest run… ever!
We started on The Den loop to allow daylight to increase and then headed out East on Owen’s Store with a quick right turn to Curtis Road. We hung a left into Curtis Farms for a couple miles of hills before climbing back to Owens and continuing down to Grandmar. We turned it around and headed back to the Den where we finished our last two miles on the loop.
Today’s run was extra special because we all ran together. The miles went quickly by with girl talk. Yes, Anchor, we will always forgive the things you say on the uphills. 😁
Piles of Miles: 36!
Everyone cranked out 9 apiece!
Great work ladies! It was slightly less than ideal out there but you powered through effortlessly!
It’s race week! Good luck Chinchilla on finishing the Triple Peach with the Atlanta Half. Anchor and I will conquer half number two this month at the Tryptophan Half in Cumming. Cheers to many more happy miles with you gals! Yellow Tulip, we gotta get you in a race where you can really show your stuff for time! As always, my heart is full and I’m so proud of our #bettertogether efforts.
