BackBlast:

Tex Mex did a Kraken at The Rock last week, and I love me a good Kraken beatdown.  It’s one of my favorites in the lexicon. So when I saw her backblast, I said “Yep that’s what we’re doing Tuesday”!!

5 Pax made it in early for some steps at 5:00.  We warmed up with a ring of fire.  Shoulder rolls and passing Michael Phelps, Hip circles and passing leg swings, march in place and passing high knees, and finally, butt kicks and passing 2 squat reaches.

Kraken ~ 8 cones/exercises in a circle. All the Pax spread out to a starting cone. We started  with 30 reps/sets and ran a full circle past that cone to the next one. Rinse and repeat for all 8 cones. When a full circle was completed then rep count was 20. For the last round we did 10 reps/sets.   Here are the exercises:

  1. Jumping jacks
  2. Pendulums (squats with a leg lift)
  3. Toe taps
  4. Hallelujahs
  5. Standing Russian twists
  6. Reverse lunges
  7. Prisoner squats
  8. Tricep ext

It was a very cold morning, thankfully we had no wind!  Once we got moving we all warmed up quickly!

I’m thankful to start my morning with you lovely ladies.  Every time I come to a workout you always remind me that we really are #bettertogether.
