10 Beautiful ladies joined me at The Den Tuesday for an Accumulator workout. Several of us were 2 days post Half Marathon and full of complaints. But, the other PAX joined in to the moaning and groaning and made us feel better about ourselves. We warmed up with arm circles, Michael Phelps, stretches, windmills in cadence, and some side shuffling around the parking lot. Then we got started on the Thang.
The Accumulator. We do the first exercise, then run a lap. Then we do the first 2 exercises and run a lap. Then we do the first 3 exercises and run a lap. And we keep accumulating exercises as we go. Today was the 20th, so 20 reps of each exercise!
Here are our exercises:
20 Bear Squats
20 Lunge Pulses (each side)
20 Tricep Kickbacks
20 American Pie Sit Ups
20 Pendulums (squat, lift left leg, squat, lift right leg)
20 Bicep Curls
20 Cross Crunches
20 Dive Bombers (down dog Tricep push up)
20 Smurf Jacks
20 Narwhals (each side)
20 Superman Squats
We ran out of time at Dive Bombers. So, I will have to bring this one back on a Saturday. A Saturday long from now. I’m feeling all of those bear squats and pendulums!
We snapped a pic and circled up to pray. We pray for Wilson, whose Dad is in the hospital. We pray for Spartan whose little girl is in the hospital after a bad stomach bug. We prayed for those interviewing for jobs and those that need some peace and comfort. There were a lot of laughs today, despite the grumbles. It was a great day at The Den.
