It was a cold one at The Grove on Saturday! But, we warmed up quickly and stayed warm with The Five Drop. Since today was the 5th, I felt it was time to coin a new workout.
We warmed up with stretches and a lap. Then we got started.
The Five Drop
Using a list of exercises on the board, we completed the first 5 using rep counts of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. Then we ran a lap. Next round we dropped the first exercise and did the next five again going in order of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 reps. We ran a lap and continued all the way down the board.
Here were our exercises:
Half Burpees
Big Girl Sit Ups
Flutter Kicks
Monkey Humpers
Wide Bicep Curls
Sumo Squats
Lunge Pulses
Russian Twists
Mt. Climbers
Calf Raises
LBCs
We started with 10 half burpees, 20 BGSUs, 30 Push Ups, 40 Flutter Kicks, 50 Monkey Humpers, run.
Then we dropped Half Burpees and did 10 BGSUs, 20 Push Ups, 30 Flutter Kicks, 40 Monkey Humpers, and 50 Wide Bicep Curls, then run.
Next we dropped BGSUs and did 10 Push Ups, 20 Flutter Kicks, 30 Monkey Humpers, 40 Wide Bicep Curls, and 50 Sumo Squats, then ran.
And we kept going until we got to 10 lunge Pulses, 20 Russian Twists, 30 Mt. Climbers, 40 Calf Raises, and 50 LBCs. That took exactly an hour!
I got a few sighs and a bit of mumble chatter, but the ladies said it wasn’t too terrible, but it also wasn’t easy. I think the Five Drop is here to stay! We snapped a pic, circled up, prayed, and got our Saturday going!
