4 PAX joined me on a dark, cool night to take a crack at The Kraken. Borrowed from FiA Hampton Rhodes, the Kraken did not disappoint.
We warmed up with some Ring of Fires. Everyone started with arm circles, while we passed around 8 Hallelujahs twice. Then we switched to leg swings and passed around 8 toy soldiers twice. Next we all did TTTs while we passed around 8 Jumping Jacks twice. Last, we all did cotton pickers while we passed around 8 windmills.
Then we got busy with the Thang: The Kraken.
I had 8 cones set up along the inside of the playground benches, in a circle. We each started at a different cone. Each cone had one exercise on it. We completed 30 reps of the exercise, then ran a complete lap around the circle (outside of the benches), until we passed our cone and reached the next one. We repeated this all the way until we got back to the first cone. Then we did it again with 25 reps each. Then again, around the circle, with 20 reps each. Our exercises were:
Plank shoulder taps
Bulgarian Split Squats
Bicep Curl to Overhead Press
In & Outs
The Kraken is a mythical creature that somewhat resembles an octopus. Therefore, 8 cones, 8 exercises. This actually provided a Beatdown with a lot of running. I burned right at 400 calories in our 45 minutes! So the Kraken is here to stay!
We closed with prayers and our COT. Thank you ladies for joining me!
