My board said “I Got 31 Flavors….and then some!” but sadly, there was no ice cream in sight……no Ryan Gosling either (darn those Coronavirus travel restrictions!) The basis of today’s workout was getting in our 31s for the bingo square (squats, merkins, BGS, bicep curls) but we went with the 31 theme through the whole shebang.
Warmup: 31 of the things
10 Jumping Jacks
Mats went on one side of the stage, weights on the other. For each round, we did 31 of an exercise at our mats, then travelled across the stage in the manner instructed, then did 31 reps of our weights exercise, then travelled back. Sets went a lil sumpin’ like this:
Squats –> Bear Crawl –> Bicep Curls –> Bear Crawl Back
BGS –> Lunges –> Bent Rows
Merkins –> High Knees –> Dead Lifts
Crunches –> Squat Shuffle –> Overhead Press
Plank Jacks –> Butt Kickers –> Hallelujahs
Burpees (no 31 here, just 3+1) –> Mosey (I mean, you did just do burpees) –> Scarecrows
Rosalitas –> Cherry Pickers (or Marios if you prefer) –> Tricep Dips/Extension (PAX choice)
31 second plank –> Sprint –> Hammer Curls
We ran a lap, then repeated the exercises again for a count of 16 instead of 31 and no travelling in between. Then we finished with one more lap, stretches, prayers and names. We got to name Sugar Mama’s 2.0! She loves to draw, paint, and do art of all kinds, so we named her Canvas!
