With this warmer weather, I was feeling the urgency to get us bathing suit ready with a tough workout. So my brainstorming yesterday landed me with a new workout that I have named The VHS Tape.
Ten beautiful PAX joined me today with zero expectation, but a whole lot of complaining once we got started. I loved it!
We warmed up with arm circles, Michael Phelps, gorilla swings, fast feet, and toe taps. Then we got to work.
We were in a straight line across the parking lanes. We completed our first exercise on the list, then we fast forward (run) to the end of the lane, pause (hold chair until everyone is there), then we rewind (run backward back to the mats). Next we did the first 2 exercises, fast forward, pause, and rewind. On the 3rd round, we dropped the first exercise but picked up the next one on the list, fast forward, pause, and rewind. And we continued this dropping an exercise but gaining a new one, basically doing each exercise on the list twice, all the way through. We got over a mile of running in and our rep count was 30 for every exercise.
It was non-stop, a good continuous movement for the whole 45 minutes. Which is what made it a tough one. So much mumble chatter today!

Russian Twists
Half Burpees
We took a full 3 minutes to really stretch. Then we snapped a picture, prayed, and did our Name-O-Rama. It was a great way to start our day!!
