It’s our longest run yet for those of us training for the Savannah half marathon. This week we changed up our Sunday long run start to an evening run because we knew we had a lot of miles and we were hoping for daylight and a change of scenery.
Call us crazy. It was hot when we started! There were hills. There were gnats. There were some really interesting things like an abandoned lawnmower along the way.
We started at the Den but headed out to the road fir the longest run yet. We took a right out of the parking lot to Owens, another right on Curtis, left on Grandmar all the way (did I mention hills) to Gaddis fir the first part of our run. We headed up Gaddis with a quick out and back to Haley. Then after another LONG CLIMB UP GADDIS we met back up to Grandmar and started the return to Creekview. We finished our miles under the lights as the “cooler” air settled in. It was a hard run at a long distance but these women were fearless and strong! Great work ladies!
Piles of miles :
Partly Cloudy – 10+
