Have I ever mentioned how much I love my friends? Cause I do. My friends are amazing. How amazing? Amazing enough that when I decided that, for my FiAversary Q, I’m going to turn our run group into a virtual Spartan…they are all in!!!
So, at 4:30…in 27 degree weather…Ultra met up with me at The Flock so that we could do a full Spartan Super. 6.2 miles and 25 obstacles. We ran a mile and a half, did our 3 obstacles of 10 burpees, 20 lateral lunges (total) and 10 bodyweight squats. After another 1.6 miles, we did 2 more obstacles of a 20 second plank and 10 merkins.
Once everyone else met up at 5:30, we had COT and Name-O-Rama. After a couple of ruckers took off for their rucking adventures, we tackled the rest which made up the Spartan Sprint. 3.1 miles and 20 obstacles. We stopped every .25 miles and did 2 obstacles at each stop:
- 10 burpees
- 20 lateral lunges
- 10 bodyweight squats
- 20 second plank
- 10 merkins
When we were done, we had 2 that had completed the Spartan Super and 3 that had completed the Spartan Sprint!
Congratulations, ladies! You are Spartan!!!! AROOOOO!!!
