I was sporting a bum knee so I figured I could either lead a workout I could only partially participate in, or I could come up with a knee-friendly alternative. Enter the Ab/Arm/Oblique Tabata! We warmed up with some arm punches and windmills, ran a lap and got going!
What the thang was, was 5 rounds of tabata, 4 exercises each round, each done for 1 minute with a 15 second rest in between. After each round we ran a lap around the playground. At the very end we finished with Sally, but knee-friendly Sally – glute bridges up and down!
Let me just say, that I so very much appreciate these ladies not minding my modified workout, modifying themselves when/if needed, and making sure the things I did do wouldn’t put too much strain on my knee. These ladies are pure gold, lemme tell ya!
