It’s 90-2-10 Reboot Time

On this wonderful Tuesday morning, 17 beautiful PAX joined me for a 90-2-10 reboot workout in anticipation for the new season of 90210 launching tomorrow. So excited for our fun social planned tomorrow night to watch it together but today is all about burning some calories so I modified a workout I did previously and am calling it the 90-2-10 routine. It very well may make a reappearance some time in the future too. 🙂 We started with a little warm-up of the following exercises with 10 reps each all in cadence: forward arm circles, backwards arm circles, jumping jacks, through the tunnels, and toy soldiers.

THE THANG:

I called it the 90-2-10 workout because it is a total of 10 exercises done in pairs of 2 with the only reps to count being 90.  We partnered up and completed the routine in 5 rounds as follows:

  • Round 1: P1 did 90 Hallelujahs while P2 did AMRAP of Burpees with a Push-up in the time it takes for P1 to complete the 90 reps. The partners switched exercises & once each person had completed both exercises, each pair ran or walked a lap together. Those that finished early held plank until all PAX returned from the lap.
  • Round 2: P1 did 90 Seal Claps while P2 did AMRAP of Imperial Squat Walkers in the time it takes for P1 to complete the 90 reps. The partners switched exercises & once each person had completed both exercises, each pair ran or walked a lap together. Those that finished early held plank until all PAX returned from the lap.
  • Round 3: P1 did 90 Chicken Wings while P2 did AMRAP of Reverse Lunges with a Front Kick in the time it takes for P1 to complete the 90 reps. The partners switched exercises & once each person had completed both exercises, each pair ran or walked a lap together. Those that finished early held plank until all PAX returned from the lap.
  • Round 4: P1 did 90 Moroccan Night Clubs while P2 did AMRAP of Sumo Squats in the time it takes for P1 to complete the 90 reps. The partners switched exercises & once each person had completed both exercises, each pair ran or walked a lap together. Those that finished early held plank until all PAX returned from the lap.
  • Round 5: P1 did 90 Overhead Claps while P2 did AMRAP of Curtsy Lunges in the time it takes for P1 to complete the 90 reps. The partners switched exercises & once each person had completed both exercises, each pair ran or walked a lap together. Those that finished early held plank until all PAX returned from the lap.

Once we finished the Thang, we took a quick picture as some of the PAX had to leave early to get to work on time now that school is back in session. After the picture we got back to work for an ab circuit of the following exercises:10 Big Girl Sit Ups, 20 Flutter Kicks, 10 Big Girl Sit Ups, 20 Russian Twists, 10 Big Girl Sit Ups, 20 In & Outs, 10 Big Girl Sit Ups, 20 Penguins, 10 Big Girl Sit Ups.

And because I’m a glutton for punishment, I asked Sugarland to lead us in completing 20 Around the Worlds so we could all check off a bingo box together (well those of us still left anyways). Oowee, my arms were definitely feeling it by the end of it all! We then did some arm and leg stretches and circled up for prayer time and Name-O-Rama.

Just a Few Announcements: FiA Social Tomorrow Night at Rise Up’s clubhouse (gather around 8p with the show starting at 9p), it’s Bingo time so be working on those boxes, Flock It & Run 5K on August 25th (6-8p).

I forgot to share this with the group this morning but I found this Bible quote during my prayer time before the beatdown that really spoke to me so I thought I’d share it here:

“With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgment. Always let Him lead you, and He will clear the road for you to follow.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday and the rest of the week!
