Special St. Paddy’s Day Beatdown

Today was a St. Paddy’s Day inspired beatdown! Many of us wore some sort of green, but Bourbon won the most spirited award for her St. Patrick’s Day shoes, boa, shirt, skirt and socks!

Warm-up: SSH I.C., arm swings, arm circles, mosey to drop off mats and weights at designated spots.

The Thang:

“Somewhere Over the Rainbow”- Each end of the rainbow had an exercise with 17 reps (7 exercises each end). Pax starts at one end and does the exercise then runs “over the rainbow” to the other end and does that exercise going back and forth until all 14 exercises are done. (“Rainbow” was the sidewalk leading from one end of the playground to the other)

Mat End:

  • Glute bridges
  • crunchy frogs
  • plank up/downs
  • inchworm
  • candlestick
  • leg lifts
  • dying cockroach

Weight End:

  • overhead press
  • dead lifts
  • scarecrow chicken wing
  • tricep kickbacks
  • crockpot squat
  • “T” arm raises
  • jump lunges (each leg)

After a quick water break and mat/weight pickup we came together to draw coins out of the “Pot O’ Gold”. Together we did 17 reps of the exercises on the coins.

With 10 minutes left we did a quick “Four Leaf” corners

  1. Shamrock starjumps
  2. Leprecaun Leaps
  3. Irish inchworms
  4. Kissing Kayaks

Ending with COT and naming our FNG. Welcome Miami Vice!!! Thanks to all the ladies for coming out even though it was crazy cold this morning!
