The One With All The Alarms, Sweat, and THE FNG

It was a hot one. 7 PAX and a very special FNG joined me at the Thicket on Monday morning. Brave girls. I’m telling you it was H.O.T. We did some warm up stretching, and quickly moved on to THE THANG because it was….(say it with me)….5 ALARM HOT LIKE FIRE. Good stuff. So, on to…

THE THANG:

I set up 5 A.L.A.R.M. Routines: Arm, Leg, Ab, RUN, and Merkins, Reps increased from 10 to 40, and decreased from 40 to 10 on subsequent rounds

10 Bicep Curls

20 Squats

30 Mountain Climber Twists

Run the loop around the playground

40 Merkins

Run the slightly larger loop around the pavilions …and that was Alarm 1

Alarm 2:

40 Hallelujahs with weights

30 Squats

20 Big Girl Sit ups

Run the loop around the playground

10 Merkins

Run the larger loop

Alarm 3:

10 Overhead Press

20 Squats

30 Rosalitas

Run playground loop

40 Merkins

Run the larger loop

Alarm 4:

40 Bent Over Rows

30 Squats

20 Leg Lifts

Run playground loop

10 Merkins

Run longer loop

So, that’s the Thang, and we took our picture:

We circled up for COT, prayed over our friends and family, and then named our FNG. Y’all, I’ve been trying to get this girl to come to a workout for many moons. And, today was the day! Welcome to FiA Cherokee, Bethany Davis. We named her Pumpkin Spice because….reasons, and she loved it. She also rocked everything I brought. She even said that I went easy on her. Hmm….We’ll see about that. I’ll get you, my pretty (insert evil laugh). Needless to say, I was beyond delighted that she joined our wonderful FiA Family. She tasted the koolaid, and it was good. Name-O-Rama was extra fun because we also got to name some 2.0’s of which there were many. LOL Girl, Baller, Dancer, Gummy Bear, Sporty Spice. Gummy Bear also showed us all how to do a burpee. Fun was had by all.

Until we meet again,

Rise Up
