Training Day

Introducing our newest ADHOC AO – Woodstock Amphitheater! Hopefully a permanent one soon!! With all of the possibilities that this AO has to offer, especially those steps, I found it fitting to do a Training Day beatdown. Think Rocky Balboa!

The cold didn’t stop 4 PAX from joining me this gorgeous sunny morning!  We started with some OYO warm-up stretches, focusing on where you needed the stretches the most.

The Thang

3 Rounds of exercises with each focusing on a different element- Strength, Agility & Endurance.

Round 1- Strength-  Jabs, Cross punches, Weighted Donkey Kicks, Hooks, Uppercuts & Weighted LBC’s – 10 each all counted in Cadence.

Round 2- Agility-  Front/Side Kicks, Bob & Weave – 10 each in Cadence,  Jab Jab Duck – 25 & Jump Rope for 1 min.

Round 3- Endurance-  Jog/Ran to steps – Step Jump to the top – *Song Challenge – “Champion” – Hold squat position, until the chorus- Raggedy Anns for the chorus then back to squat. Rest/shake out for the Ludacris hook- right back to Raggedy Anns for a total of 3 sets of Raggedy Anns! OUCH!! Ran back to our mats to do it all one more time!! Only adjustment was in Round 3 at the top of the stairs we did 10 toe taps, 1 push up until we reached 100. Thanks Wonder Woman for that suggestion!

Once back at our mats we did a few more OYO stretches before COT & Name-o-rama where we named our FNG – Dr. Crusher. Welcome!!
