VQ remix

Back by popular demand, my VQ!  Aka Dance inspired movements to coordinating music, with fun + sweat being the goal.  Mission Accomplished.

Thang:

Warm up – “Shut Up and Dance (with me).” – Jazzercized it a bit, especially the facial expressions. 🙂

Cardio – “Footloose,” “Disco Inferno,” “Canned Heat,” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” (This time I think I got it right for IWDwS with a square dance type do-si-do. Yes! So much fun!)

Core – “Hey Ya!,” and “Magalenha.”

Legs – “All About That Bass” & “The Way You Make Me Feel.”

Arms – “Uptown Funk” & “Macarena.” (I was kinda stressing, feeling like I’d over prepared and wondering why I was running out of time, but then I realized that we had an hour (Saturday) instead of 45 minutes, so we did one more song and then streeeeeetched.)

Full Body – 2 minute plank with shoulder taps to “Shake It Off”

Stretch – “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”

*I remember also working in Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” somewhere, but I forget what we did.

Girl chat, Coffeeteria, & eventually a Name-O-Rama.  These ladies make it worth getting out of bed on a cold and rainy Saturday.
