You Can’t Spell August Without Glute Bridges

What a wonderful turn out we had on Saturday at Foxtrot!  I love seeing so many smiling faces!  We kicked off our Beatdown right at 8:00 AM with some stretches, followed by an Indian Run Around the big loop.  Sorry ladies if you had to sprint uphill.  When we got back, we went right into 1 Minute intervals that spelled out August.

A – Arm circles

U – Upright rows

G – Glute Bridges

U – Uneven Squats

S – Single Leg Dead Lifts

T – Thrusters

We went through this 3 times, since it was August 3rd, for a total of 18 minutes.  With no rest or breaks.  Once we made it through, we got water and partnered up for the next activity.  The triple check (August 3rd, remember):

1 partner did step ups, 1 partner did Tricep kickbacks, the third partner ran.  We rotate stations when the runner returns.  We did each station 3 times.

Next up was the 2019 part of our date themed workout.  So we went with Super 19s!  1 In & Out, 1 Big Girl Sit Up.  Then 2 of each, then 3, then 4, ALL the way up to 19.  We didn’t make it.  It was painful when we got to 4 or 5 of each.  Most of us made to 12 or 13 before I called time.

We circled up for announcements, name-o-Rama, and a quick prayer.  Then we dug into our monthly birthday treats.  Shrinky Dink made some delicious muffins!  I love having such a large crowd on Saturdays because coffeteria is a wonderful opportunity to get to know some of our fellow FiAs!  I am so happy Chai came back and brought 2 friends with her!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!
