Well, they finally did it…..they convinced me to Q! For the first time in almost a year, and the first time since moving from FiA Lexington to FiA Cherokee, I did it! And boy was it COOOOOOOOOLD! 28 degrees at the start! That’s OK though, because we warmed up fast with jumping jacks, through-the-tunnels and front/side kicks (IC).
We celebrated the cold temps with a little mountain climbing, from 10 to 100:
40 Bicep Curls
50 Imperial Walkers
60 Mountain Climbers
90-Second High Plank
So what do you do when you get to the top of a mountain? You run a victory lap of course! We ran our lap then we started on down the mountain:
100 High Knees
60 Russian Twists
50 Calf Raises
40 Tricep Dips
20 Shoulder Taps
10 Monkey Humpers
We had some time after we reached the bottom of the mountain so we finished up with our new favorite leg warm-up/cool-down (15 Leg Extensions 15 Pulses, 15 Fire Hydrants 15 Pulses, 15 Rainbows each leg), and then we each called out a favorite(??) ab exercise of which we did 50. After a little stretching we finished with COT and Name-O-Rama, then ran to our cars to get home to a warm blanket, bath and beverage! And hey, by then we had finally hit 32 degrees!
Thanks ladies for coming out in the cold for my first Chero-Q!
