Despite all the chaos and turmoil plaguing our country right now, I’m personally still very proud to be an American & thankful to call this beautiful country my home. So today we did a beatdown celebrating America’s birthday. 🇺🇸
We warmed up with some arm circles forward, arm circles backward, Michael Phelps, Toy Soldiers (IC) & hip stability drills then got started on the Thang.
I assigned an exercise or routine to each number in America’s birthday. We completed a round, ran a lap & repeated it 4 times. The exercises were as follows:
7 – Squats with a shoulder press
4 – Curtsy lunges with a bicep curl (sets)
1 – Round of Captain Thor (5:20)
7 – Shoulder Taps (sets)
7 – Glute bridge hold with skull crushers
6 – Imperial Walker (sets)
We crushed this workout in lightening speed time so we did a round of Sally, Bat Wings & Ab ABCs. We finished with some stretching then circled up for COT & Name-O-Rama.
With all the chaos in our country right now, it can be easy to lose sight of those things we are thankful for so today in COT I opted to skip the prayer & had each PAX tell us what they were thankful for right now. It was a great way for us to focus on the good in all our lives & remind us of our blessings.
